Libya
Following harrowing attacks on protesters in Libya, rebels forces are now in control of most of the country. Reuters reports the chaos even in parts of Gadafi’s last holdout at Tripoli. Brutality continues as Gadhafi’s foreign mercenaries and vigilantes roam the Capitol. Some of these hired guns are said to be drawn from as far as Serbia.
There are rumors of the collapse of the Regime by the end of the weekend. (Feb 26)

Since they took to the streets, Bahrain’s protesters have come to expect violence and even death at the hands of the kingdom’s security forces. At least five people were killed before yesterday’s protests.
But this was on a different scale of magnitude.
As they drew near, they were met first with tear gas and then with bursts of live ammunition.

After 18 days of turmoil, protesters receive news that Mubarak has resigned.
The BBC coverage outlines a history of his rule and more video.
CNN confirms that many of his Swiss bank accounts have been frozen:
“An official statement from the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs said the Swiss cabinet had frozen all funds belong to Mubarak or “his circles.”
‘The [government] intends in doing so to avoid any risk of embezzlement of Egyptian state property,”’
The celebrations continued with fireworks and dancing.
